Got out of WI (Since my WI buck tag is already filled) but stayed in the Midwest to do more field testing of my homemade broadhead, Telemetry tracking nock and thermal drone. I was hunting over a decoy and took and odd racked buck with a heart shot.

I tracked the buck 3 ways. 1st through conventional blood trailing, then using the telemetry tracking nock Ive been working on for a few years and then again with the thermal capable drone.

Here are some videos (heavily edited so as not to offend anybody that would see a brand name or logo and run screaming to the admins here to explain how it wounded them to see such a thing)

First a few pics I snapped as I was pondering if I wanted to kill the buck.

The homemade, 6 blade, 250 grain broadhead after I pulled it from the ground.

First locating the buck with the arrow mounted tracking device.

Then finding it again with the thermal drone.

The buck on the left is my WI 10 point and the one on the right is the one I just got.

I set aside some of the meat from this buck for canning. I do my own euro mounts.

I have more out of state hunts planned before my knee replacement surgery in Dec. And I picked up another local property for suburban archery deer culling so I will get to do more product testing locally on antlerless deer.

But first its time to do some canning of some of the meat.
