Wonder if security knew he was armed when contact was made? If so, especially with his known history, and even more if he had a weapon in hand, contact should have been made from cover, with a weapon targeting the CNS ready to fire. Trying to talk to someone like that gets people killed. In this case, the security guard seems to have set it off and taken the first rounds. Could not pay me enough to be a mall cop.
