Thank goodness you did (or did not) get the shot, because it would (or would not) have prevented it, then would (or would not) have lessened the symptoms, and would (or would not) have made you non-contagious, and ultimately would (or would not) have kept you from getting it ever again. Most importantly, it would (or would not) have kept you alive.
