Ice on Pacific oysters is not the best for long keeping. Stable temps, high 30's to low 40's with wet (avoid chlorinated tap water) burlap or cotton canvas top and bottom in your cooler.
Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.
