You'll never hear it shooting at game.
You may not be
aware of the sound of the shot, but that doesn't mean that your ears won't suffer the same damage as if you did notice it.
Wear hearing protection when you shoot. Every shot. Electronic muffs are too good and too inexpensive not to. Tinnitus sucks.
