I am sure the GOP will win big in November. What difference will that make? Other than some posturing and bloviating, they won't DO anything to thwart Biden, just as they did nothing to go against barack. The GOP really does not want to be the majority party. That puts pressure on them to perform, and they would much rather sit in the back of the room and talk.
McConnell and the RNC wanted to lose the Senate. McConnell and the RNC make more money and have more power as the minority. With the Filibuster rule in place, McConnell can broker more lucrative deals as Minority Leader than Majority Leader.
