I live in Lancaster, Pa and I follow a lot of the gun auctions in the region etc. We actually have quite a few. I will say if a rare 760 caliber is up for auction you know it when you look at the auction results. The collectors/investor types know the value and will pay $1,500-$1,800 (35 Whelen & 280 goe big if I recall correctly) for those PA machine guns. I have noted at auction recently any 760/7600 produced after say 1965 have been getting 750-1000. I am guessing it is the unknown of whether Rem Arms will continue to produce those guns. I think 300 savage falls on the rare side things. Not special edition rare but not overly common. That is a decent price and probably a great price for collector. I saw a 30-06 Carbine sell last month for $1,250 and it wasn't anything special.
