After using these type for 20+ years, for any of you are trying these for the first time for use on hunting rifles, I have a little advice. I strongly advise not getting them in camo, black, or dark colors and instead getting them in a contrasting color like day-glow orange, red, etc. Like kids' mittens, this is one the most dropped and lost items that I'm aware of. People remove them in rushed situations and fail to stuff them in their pockets or to secure them. When they become aware and backtrack to look for them, especially in low light, they're hard to find.
Just a note: the ScopeGuard Alaska neoprene covers have a "keeper" loop, which goes around the forearm and prevents the cover from falling off the rifle. The loop contains a quick disconnect for completely removing the cover if desired very quickly.
