The 38s have been going fast off gunbroker for the past few months for a lot more than they used to. I saw a couple go for over a grand and one for $1125. I was hoping to get one for no more than $800 and kept getting outbid. Finally lucked out and got one on a Sunday at 5pm for a starting bid of $800 that no one else bid on. Started not to bid on it but the seller had a lot of A+ ratings with positive reference remarks and would take a personal check so no credit card fee. It turned out to be better than the photos, 1942 Husqvarna with matching #s original sling, VG bluing & stock, bright bore with sharp rifling and crown.
Never thought I'd pay $800 for one of these and say I lucked out.
