That is actually someone's lawn near the entrance to the state forest, not too far from where I hunted this season. Those rocks drain water into a small ravine where the state forest property line is. There were hens further back on the property. They're probably driving that land owner crazy picking his spring flowers and tearing up his garden.

Squirrel season opens on June 4. Those birds will probably be all around at that time. They know when season is and isn't. Somewhere in their tiny little brains, they know.
