If you aren’t dead set in the immediate coast….

Hattiesburg ain’t a bad place to live.

Specifically the Oak grove / sumrall side.

Decent size town. College town, but not buck wild.

Hour or so from the gulf.

Now days crime is everywhere, but less so in that area.
