I know my son put a 150 grain Ballistic tip from a 7mm mag at 300 yards into a mid sized bull elk. Just behind the shouder on entrance and out the shoulder on exit.The bull went maybe 50 yards or so and was down for the count.
This was 5 1/2 years ago and the bullet was from 6-7 years ago. I think this bullet has been pretty tough for a long time.
