I bought my son one like in the OP, just different company and made of carbon fiber. He's 15 and seems to like it just fine. I'd have a hard time as I carry way too much crap in my wallet, but do like the functional aspect of it.
The company I got mine from Moutain Voyage also makes them out of wood. IMO, darn good looking! And IIRC the wood one's carry a lifetime warranty.
