I traded into a McMillan Hunter Edge inlet for a Win M70 Pre-64 FWT this week. Thought it was for a Post-64. Just under 26 ounces. Grey green paint with two tone grey and black speckles. Decelerator pad. Pillars installed. Appears as new. Only small scuffs are from me setting my barreled action in the stock. Original owner got tired of waiting and sold the rifle before the stock finally arrived from McM.
As fate would have it, the only Pre-64 M70 I have on hand at the moment is a Standard Rifle. Before I start sanding and grinding to accommodate the dog knot and the larger barrel shank, anyone have a McM Edge already inlet for a Pre-64 Standard Rifle that they would be willing to trade for same with a FWT inlet? Give or take cash as needed. Only other trade interest would be a McM Hunter Edge inlet for a Left Hand M70 Classic.
