Took a ride up into our property this evening with my younger son.

Saw 3 doe and one spotted fawn. Then we popped up over along side a smallish field and there were 3 longbeards .........already making their ways away from the truck. The one was a bird I named Hop-Along. He was with 3 jakes, several hens and the dominant longbeard I killed opening morning 2021. Throughout all the scouting and looking and glassing I did pre-season on the very same property this spring.............. I never saw him. I'm just guessing. But thinking he was one of 3 birds that were hanging on the east side of our property that I never got into, pre-season or during.

Kinda anxious to find his limpy ass next spring, as he'll be a minimum of a 5 year old bird.
