I had a Gentry rifle built in the early 80's on a pre-64 Winchester 70 in 338 WM....was my only rifle for years shot every big game animal in Canada and US several times over....weighed just over 7 pounds loaded....back then it cost me $1000 to have built.....
Yep, Dave was a big fan of the .338, and knew how to build 'em!
Where did you hunt musk ox? Just curious. Got my only one in Nunavut, about half a mile from the Arctic Ocean on what was called the "summer" hunt--in late August when they're rutting. Though my bull was so old he wasn't interested anymore. The rifle was a custom that Dave did about half the work on.....
