There's a serious movement in Texas now to end property taxes on your home at age 65.
Which is only right, in my opinion.
By far the highest property tax in Texas is school taxes. People over 65 don't quite have school aged kids as a rule, and they should be able to enjoy owning their home without having to sell it pay property taxes.
