Sure! If you live in a free state. In Idaho, guns are sold and traded via classified ads quite frequently. You list it on Craigslist, the guy comes to your house, you shake hands and exchange $ for firearm. Face to face, no forms, no .gov involvement.

Heck, if you parked around the corner so that I did not see your Oregon license plate, I might even sell a gun to you.

No laws broken on my part. But you might have an issue with your Communist state government when they find you in possession of a gun without Katie Brown's stamp of approval.

But as for history of such guns being used for mass killings, the only one legally purchased sans background check is the one mentioned by ConradCa.
