I daresay the folks who don't believe this number come from an area where there just aren't that many Democrat voters. I live in a Republican county on the edge of a Democrat-majority city. The suburb where I spent my weekdays is split about 50-50. Our precinct generally goes Democrat. All the surrounding burbs are Republican. Believe me, they're out there. They just ain't where you are.

Down at the farm, Democrats are a fairly small minority, however, there are only 11K in the whole county.

My wife comes from the KY/TN border, and her kin are split about 50-50. McCreary County, KY is usually listed as the poorest county in the nation. Some still remember that it was Roosevelt that gave them electricity and aren't going to forget it any time soon.
