Loud pipes do not saves lives. Just say look at me, create noise pollution and cause headaches.
They are obnoxious.
And you hear them don't ya

I tell bike riders if your own pipes are hurting your ears you are not going fast enough.
I personally do not like straight pipes they are not needed
but stock pipes are to quiet and I can not hear the bike to know when to shift. I do not look at my dash board very much. I busy looking at cars.
I have custom pipes that are legal even in sound restricted areas of Commyfornia.
Loud but not to loud until you need them to be obnoxiously loud.
