Used to have a Ruger M77 in 243 and I swatted several mulies and pronghorns with it using Rem factory ammo with the 80 gr bullet. It worked well but I traded it for a 6.5x55 for heavier bullet weights so I could use it on elk.
You get out of life what you are willing to accept. If you ain't happy, do something about it!
