3/4 oz-1oz of shot in the 12ga and a 45gr bullet and a charge of Bluedot/800X(Calhoun Bullet site data) load in the 222 and you have a 20ga/22H.
I never put too much stock in gauge or caliber a little manipulation at the reloading bench will give you whatever you want.
I shoot a number of sxs shotguns in 12ga, 16ga, and 20ga, my goto load in all of them is 1 oz. I have sxs's in 12ga that are under 6# and 20ga that ore over 6# and surprisingly all are equally effective on game.
