When I was a young man, one friend loaned me his ruger #1V in 22-250 (using his handloaded 50 Blitz) and another friend loaned me his Johnny Stewart Cassette Caller. I used the "Fighting Crows and Hawk" tape wads of crows! I called on the edges of clear-cuts. I would pop one or two up close, then they would fly out to 200-250 and perch, I had a ball! You can do it!!
