If Trump runs, he gets the nomination. Don't worry about DeSantis. He has given no indication that he wants to challenge Trump directly in the GOP Primary or as an Independent.
He might be asked to run to fill out the GOP Primary field and to get experience for a later move on the White House if Trump runs, but don't take that as a challenge. Take that as grooming the successor.
