Why would DeSantis want to run on the ticket with Trump? Being Trump's VP would only subject him to endless attacks during the Trump term. It would not make him stronger, only potentially weaken him as the MSM would link him with everything negative.
Stay in Florida and lead by example. Run for President when the time and conditions are right.
Only thing I can think of - if they legitimately believe the country is in hospice care as a viable concern and this is the only way to ensure we get it back - as currently configured, he signs up as a patriot in that regard.
I don't necessarily believe that, short of some massive purging of a permanent nature, we're salvageable. A correct/proper reset likely needs to happen which would be rather ugly.
