Magnum primer cups are a little thicker than standard primer cups.
I have seen standard primer cups get pierced due to excessive pressures when used in Magnum max loads. This can lead to firing pin erosion if done consistently over time.
If the pressures are moderate in a load, standard primers should be fine.
