I run strong saws and sharp chain.

I cut logs into "Frisbees" and throw them in my dump truck.

I dump the load where I need it... and cover with plastic if need be.

Wood dries very fast this way...

Most species check... and many "split themselves" while handling.

"Frisbees" thickness is determined by weight and my ability to handle easily.

32" log... maybe 2"

24" log... maybe 3-4"

12" log maybe 10"-12"

6" branch... whatever the woodstove will fit.

In Virginia, I have not used wood for primary heat for many years.

Once the WV cabins are up... wood will be the ONLY HVAC.

I hate handling wood more then twice... I will never split again.

If you are not actively engaging EVERY enemy you encounter... you are allowing another to fight for you... and that is cowardice... plain and simple.
