A 2.5-8 is good for a lot as is a 3-9 but all the cool kids here have to find something different so they don't make the grade anymore.


OP said his max shots are going to be "200 yards". The scope he has will work great for that application. If he said he'd be shooting 400 yards, I'd also suggest something along the lines of a 2.5-10 or 3-9x40.. As it is, that is a moot point..

I’d still be fine with the 1.5x6 at 400 yards for stuff I’d be using a 375 for…. Deer on up!
