I’ve noticed that it seems like the longer one is engaged after 2 years the better the chance that the marriage won’t last. Conversely those that get engaged and married quickly seem to generally go the distance. That obviously not a hard and fast rule but a guideline that has been fairly accurate over the years.

Sorta like the inverse relationship between the size of the engagement ring and the length of the marriage. In my experience the bigger and more expensive the ring the shorter the marriage.
