OP MWN Campfire Regular Joined: Jan 2014 Posts: 1,089 Western Slope, Colorado U.S.A	Turned out to be a M1938 scabbard for an M1 Garand. Meant for mounting to jeeps and such during WWII. So much for the Butch Cassidy story (he truly was in the area). People sleep peaceably in their beds at night because rough men stand at the ready to do violence on their behalf.
