Germany was left badly weakened by it, which opened the door for Marxist revolutionaries to roam the streets à la Antifa (They went under the same name, actually). Germans knew what the Bolsheviks had done to Russia, and the hell they let loose there after their revolution, and were so determined not to have that happen in Germany that they gave the National Socialist Party the power they asked for to rid Germany of the Bolshevik menace, which they did, following which Germany experienced what was then called their Economic Miracle.
