The truth may not be what you want to hear. It might be worth $1450 to you. It is not to me. The same rifle, NIB, will be around $1300 when Ruger starts offering them. There are a lot of issues with some vintages of Marlins which can only be identified by handling. That gun, used, is worth maybe $450 without handling and maybe $800 if it could be checked out in person prior to purchase. Anything beyond that is looking for a sucker.
