Interesting project. I'll be following it as I've been giving heavier bullet some thought. Rl17 Might be good. I've done some work with that in the 7x57 and gotten good speed. It's supposed to be good in the 30-06 as well but I haven't tried it. Dunno if IMR 7828 would work as I think it is a bit slower than H4831sc.
I came into a supply of Sierra 220 gr. round nose bullets that I was thinking of playing with in the 30-06. Medical problems got in the way so haven't been able to do anything regarding shooting or reloading for quite a while.
