First of all, I would like to thank Mike (Lightfoot) and Gene (GeneB) for their knowledge and expertise in their help with my project.

I had a Savage 99 from 1952 with a Zeiss Zielklein scope and Stith mounts. I inherited it from my grandfather, but unfortunately it was stolen about ten years ago when I still lived in San Antonio. I have decided to replicate this rifle as a project and would like to enlist all of your help to complete it.

I have obtained another Zeiss scope and am waiting on its arrival.

Mike has identified the mounts as Stith and from the 1940's. I would like to find these exact mounts and I know it is a long shot, but what the hell.

I am also looking for a Savage 99 from the early 50's chambered in 250-3000. I have a 99 takedown from 1927 chambered in 300 Savage with a box of ammo that I am willing to trade for it.

Please chime in with any information, pictures, etc. you have.
