Believe it or not, for his rack size, he wasn’t really a big bodied buck, in my opinion. He looks really great in the August picture, but I’d swear he ran alot of that “corn and soybean-life is good weight” off during the rut. I’ve probably shot 5 big doe, and at least 3 smaller racked bucks in my life that would have surely outweighed him. He must have been “all gut” on the hoof…like a beer belly, only soybeans and corn! 😎
