With an exceptionally dry summer our quail and pheasants did well.






This buck moved about 3 miles from this location to subsequently become Blackie's suitor pictured above.







Questionable health for the buck below. He was scaling a hill to the east of camp one AM, stopped, began shaking and stumbling, and then fell rolling about 10 yds down the slope. One of Cookie's buddies saw things coming together and went into video mode for the incident. Seemed healthy though late that afternoon and was still hustling does about 10-days later when we left. Will try to get a link to the video.
