IMO, Utah would beat OSU. We also have to wait until this plays out today. It seems a team can get f'ed for playing in their conference championship!

The 12 team playoff is ridiculous. What team that would fall into the bottom 6 of the top 12 could beat UGA or Michigan?

Any of them on any given day. The "best" team doesn't always win the game.

Thank you for making my point. Let's bring 3X the number of teams into the playoffs to give them a chance at their "any given day."

The top 12 would be playing almost an NFL schedule. Only teams that are very deep in talent will win it because of attrition caused by a brutal schedule. You might as well stay at 4 or possibly go to 8.

Flipping that around, wouldn't your scenario also help some kids get their shot? I know it's not the same, but most of us might not know Tom Brady's name if Bledsoe never got hurt. Back to your point, it also changes the dynamics of recruiting a bit.

I'd rather shorten the regular season and have more meaningful playoff games if that is what it takes. Who really cares about seeing Alabama beat the piss out of Northeastern Bumblefugg U, other than the bean counters at Northeastern Bumblefugg U? Just spread the bigger pie of an expanded playoff picture around to the smaller schools so no one loses out.
