With it having a serial number ending in “B” it’s a 40-XB vs a 40-X. The bolt should have a rectangular section between the knob and the bolt body, a checkered oval knob and it should angle to the rear. As a 40-XB, if it’s in an original stock the bolt cut in the stock should angle back to match the sweep of the handle like a 700 as well. If it’s a 40-X the bolt knob and handle will be round and a correct stock should have a bolt cutout that is straight.

I bought several when they were released and they were one of the best deals they had.

A 40-XB that I received was in a 40-X heavy barrel stock. I don't recall seeing any CMP 40-X heavy barrel rifles, so I'm left wondering how that might have happened.
