That's correct. The base Marauder models are unregulated however, they do have a regulated Marauder model if you are so inclined.
From my experience with the Marauder, accuracy is not effected from 3,000 down to 2,000 psi, but I haven't shot it below 2,000 psi. After I shot in two scopes, I don't let the pressure drop more than 500 psi as I don't want to drag out the SCUBA tank to refill it. I generally shoot it 20 shots and then use a hand pump to air it back up to 3,000 psi.
Not sure how more frugal the regulated model is, but I don't see the standard models as inferior in any way and I don't see how accuracy could get any better.
