Regardless, they answered today, and I just got off the line with Ithaca's Patrick, and he explained that they have no plans to stop building the 28 ga., but that they have both manpower and supply chain issues. He assured me that they have every intention of it returning to production, but they cannot promise any particular time frame.
They are maintaining a waiting list and you can get on it without making a payment. Seems that they do not fear making a gun that won't sell.
The waiting list was 90 deep when i called. 91 deep when I hung up...
