I was given one with an octagon barrel made in 1907 by my mom’s second husband. I suppose that I could shoot a close in deer with it, but being so weak compared to my normal deer rifles, it just stays home in the gun safe. I did load some 60 grain bullets for it years ago and it’s fun to shoot, but at what? I’ve got some factory loads for it, though I haven’t seen any factory stuff for a .25-20 in years.
