I have been in that area many times. Most worry about the various animals but you could get in a bad vehicle crash or have a cardiac event or fall out of a vehicle and crack your noggin or shoot yourself or have a spinal injury. Long long list.

Then you will be really thankful you can get someone to drag your ass home. The quality of medical care in Pretoria is very good but getting there will likely involve aircraft. Then you may want to recover at home.
