Pretty simple. The .257 Weatherby kills whatever you shoot with it if you him 'em in the right place.

Recoil is low, for a magnum.

Trajectory is incredibly flat, even though that's not all that important with lasers, etc.

Kills are ... impressive.

I really can't think of a better deer or antelope cartridge. Black bear, too. I wouldn't hesitate to hunt elk with it.

I got a nice mule deer buck last year on public land with my LH Weatherby Backcountry Ti in .257 Weatherby -- 100gr. TTSX. One shot and sharpen the knife. wink
