Good evening Iowa or Ontario time or still afternoon out west here, I hope the day behaved for you and you're all well.

We got the first BC black bear rugged up, but it's not a floor model, it's a wall model rug.

If I ever light up a nice cinnamon I might get it tanned, but I don't believe I'll get another one rugged up for myself.

I have however promised our daughter I'll pay for getting one done up for her, so she's been several season's looking for "the" local black bear now.

We've been looking for the one that left this for a season now, as it's not small.

That said, I chased the one that left this for a few seasons and never laid eyes on it.

Anyways the BC rule of thumb more or less is that little bears don't leave big piles, so big piles lead to larger rugs, which in turn will cost more at the taxidermist as they likely still charge by the foot.
