Anybody have a .40-65 reamer that I could beg, borrow, or steal? Subject: Ballard Pacific that I installed an orphan Douglas .40-65 barrel onto. In order to index the barrel I had to skim a few thousandths off the back end of the barrel tenon where it butts against the receiver. Now obviously the rim recess is too shallow and I need to deepen it. Short of removing the barrel, again, which I would really like to avoid if possible and deepening the recess in the lathe I figure that reaming it by hand would be simplest. We're only talking .010" or less. Thoughts?
