Ukraine has been used as a laundering operation for decades. We have used it to stage military surveillance operations of Russia and to experiment with bio weapons. Ukraine has good resources that NATO would love to have. It has something for everybody but Washington under the hand of Obama through the Biden Administration was too stupid to pull their puppets back from murdering and torturing Ethnic Russians and greed took over. The push to make Ukraine a NATO nation was a bridge too far. Ukraine and the puppet government we created to do our bidding is destroyed and we're going bankrupt attempting to save it. If we manage to start a shooting war with Russia we will not survive the aftermath. our hapless leaders should take a long hard look at history before they make any other decisions about how to go forward.
