He had a series in American Rifle man years ago entitled, Power and Accuracy with Cast Bullets". I absorbed the advice and used it to make my 1953 Model 70 30-06 a spike (not tack) driving work of art.
311291, match prepped brass, and 24 grains of 4198 made it almost MOA capable. At that time I remember he was advising kapok or a polyester filler. Looked like confetti falling in front of the gun. I got in the habit of blowing down the bore after each shot with a piece of plastic tubing.
