If you google "Hartford Armory Remington 1875" you can find some info, to include Taffin article from "Guns" magazine and some stuff from your buddy MLV. It would be nice to think that something of that quality was produced in the USA, but I don't believe that the cost of setting-up for forging or even investment casting would be doable for a small manufacturer of something with a limited market demand. Now if I heard that they were made in the USA form imported castings or forgings, I could believe it and would still consider them "Made in the USA".

On the other hand..... That lower revolver has that "plum" shade you see on some investment cast guns, to include Rugers. I wonder if the manufacturer got the raw castings from Pine Tree?
