I looked at the bogs along time. Seems a lot of folks think they are the way to go. Especially with the ball head setup.
I ended up buying a "Neewer" brand. It’s a carbon model that goes from prone position to 60". Plus it has the ball head on it. I can’t see much difference in it and the bog other than the price. I think it weighs 5.6 lbs or close to it. I got it on sale for $99. With free shipping off of Amazon.

I also picked up the bog pod death grip vice that mounted right to the tripod with no issues. I might have fleabayed it.
I got it for maybe holding a crossbow in a ground blind, plus my spotting scope will work with it too.
