Set up this way, my S&W M&P15-22 didn’t perform half bad at 50 yards, except for that one flyer:
So, out of curiosity this morning, I attached my old Weaver T-6 scope, zeroed it at 25 yards, adjusted elevation up the calculated 24 MOA, and tried for my 6” steel disk, set at 200 yards from my back deck:
I hit that steel three times out of the first five shots, with those two missed shots striking a tree branch more than a foot above my line of sight, the earlier shot wiggling the branch some, while the later shot severed the branch cleanly:
That would have been a great shot, if I had meant to do it.
